In Memory of Jean's Legacy

My family had the wonderful opportunity to stay in Nice, France in 2016. While there, I told my mom, that one day I would race in Ironman France, which is held in Nice. To that, she said she would be sure to be there to cheer me across the finish line.
Sadly, before we got the chance to follow through on that plan, my mom passed away in January of this year. So now I will be racing Ironman France in her memory in June of 2019.
To try and embody just how much of a shining light this woman was to her family, friends, and everyone else around her, I'm raising money for the cancer rehabilitation program she started. 100% of all funds donated will go to The Journey Program TC. This program was designed by my mom and her business partner and dear friend Annmarie, who now oversees everything. The program's goal is to improve cancer patients' quality of life through exercise and nutrition. Through the program, participants are helped through treatment and recovery, helping them transition back into their lives after cancer.
100% of all funds donated will go toward The Journey Program's community outreach. Specifically, the funds will be used to promote awareness of the services the program offers, ensuring as many patients as possible will have access to the program's resources. It would mean so much to me if I could use this race to do something Jean did so well and so warmly: to offer a helping hand to the community around her.
