JCA Washington, DC Mission Trip

Joshua Christian Academy (JCA) was started almost 10 years ago because a group of God-fearing people saw a need for a better way to educate and show God’s love to the urban children in Des Moines. We wanted to provide a faith-based education that was affordable for all children in the Des Moines Metro.
In an effort to teach our students about servant leadership, we will plan a trip to the Washington, DC Greater Metropolitan Area May 28 - June 3, 2019. There we will be opportunity to partner with a local church and Christian academy that serves low-income families through teaching and maintenance work on a few of their low-income housing sights.
Also, there will be opportunity to learn more about our nation's capitol through visits to places like The White House, The Capitol, The Supreme Court, The National Mall, Howard University, The Museum of the Bible, and other places. The climax of our visit will be morning worship with the very congregation that we will serve that week.
The funds raised will go toward chartering a bus to transport us to Washignton, DC and back. We have chosen Arrow Stage Lines who will donate money to help bring water to those in need for every charter booked. We will need to pay for the bus by April 25, 2019. By donating you will not only provide transportation, but you will also provide transformation in life of some young person in Des Moines, IA and Washington, DC.
