Hello I am Jessica Bucceri the owner, creator and pastry chef for JB Couture Cupcakes. I am 20 years old I have been pursuing this business since the age of 15. Basically my love of baking saved my life. Right before graduating high school I became extremely ill with severe anxiety and agoraphobia. This was a result of being a target of bullying in school and the death of my beloved grandmother. As I found myself unable to leave my home and attend college I began creating my recipes and working on my business plan. Overcoming this illness has been tremendously difficult but having a goal and a great business has helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. Last year I had 2 pop up locations where I grew my business and clientele, I was able to get some recognition to prove to myself this is my path and everything happens for a reason. I was featured on News 12 NJ with Della Crews and was rated 1 of 25 BEST desserts in NJ by nj.com and the Star Ledger.
I am about to open my first permanent location. I create event cakes and gourmet filled cupcakes with a one of a kind buttercream. I have an amazing following of customers that have supported me through every stage of my business.
My shop is going to bring something to the town of Belmar that the Jersey Shore is missing. A high end, gourmet dessert cafe. I will be hosting events every weekend and staying open late for summer night fun.
Starting my business at such a young age has not been easy but I know when I cut the ribbon and open the doors to my shop all my challenges will be forgotten.
I am so excited to have my own kitchen in my store. After preparing for the costs I have come across some unexpected issues such as needing different hot water heaters, issues with plumbing and electrical etc.. It's great to have a shop but not being able to bake in it wouldn't do anyone good! I am reaching out for help to afford these extra necessities. I would love to have my shop open for Memorial Day weekend but as of right now I don't see how that could happen. I need a little help to finish off the kitchen. Anything you can contribute would be so helpful and greatly appreciated! Even if it is only $5 and spreading the word! Become part of team JB Couture by helping me build my dream in any way you can!
