Jayden’s Journey - push-up challenge

Jayden is a grade 4 student at Christina's school. He was diagnosed with T Cell ALL (leukemia) on January 5, 2018. His diagnosis came through a 5 pm phone call from his family doctor and led to an immediate trip to Sick Kids in Toronto, where he received a transfusion as soon as he arrived. Life since then has been a roller coaster ride - full of ups and downs.
Sick Kids, CHEO, KGH: Jayden has spent more than 100 days in hospital in the last calendar year. This doesn't count the more than 80 doctor's visits or trips to the emergency room when he has developed a fever or other complication. The most recent was a flying trip to KGH on July 20th. He is a fighter though, and has beaten many infections and pneumonia in the last year, including some time on life support when he was at his most ill.
Cancer is Expensive: We are incredibly fortunate in Ontario to have the current health care coverage that we do. Unfortunately, there are many expenses associated with cancer treatment that just aren't covered by OHIP. Parking fees at hospitals, food for family members, gas to get to appointments in Kingston, Ottawa, and Toronto. These expenses come directly out of Jayden's family's pocket. His mom had to take a leave of absence to care for him when he became ill and that loss of income takes a toll on families. Jayden still has a year and a half of treatments ahead of him.
Challenge: Physical fitness and helping others are two priorities in my life. In Jayden's life, he has to push through every day and continue to be strong. Pushups are a tough challenge for me so I am proposing a 30 day challenge of 100 pushups per day to support Jayden in his journey towards wellness. With Jayden's mom's blessing, I have created this gofundme page to help raise money to support their family through their journey, which is a cause near and dear to Christina and her school.
