Medical Expenses for Jayce Ward

Donation protected
Jayce is the 8 year old son of Josh and Heather Ward and my precious nephew.  He is currently at Children's Memorial Hermann in Houston.  He's a very sick little man.   On March 6th he had his tonsils removed.  He couldn't seem to recover and on the 15th Heather took him to the emergency room because he began having extreme stomach cramps and vomitting.  Tests were conducted and he had to have his appendix removed.  The surgery took place at Childrens the morning of the 16th.  The appendix had ruptured before they removed it.  Jayce has not improved much since the appendectomy and now they have found a bowel obstruction.  We don't know how much longer he will be hospitalized.  He can not eat or drink anything.  They will be sedating him this afternoon to place the NG tube back into his stomach and also put in a nutritional line.  They do have insurance for his medical procedures but right now the extra medical expenses are taking a toll.   If  they have to operate to remove the obstruction this will be Jaycie's 3rd surgery in less than 2 weeks.  Heather has missed a great deal of work with no pay and Josh is out on the road to keep money coming in.  Parking, eating. and losing pay that come with hospitalization are never in the budget and I'm hoping and praying to find a little help for them.  Being worried about a sick child is more than a parent can sometimes bear, having to worry about all the other daily expenses makes it so much more difficult.   Please, if you're able, donate.  If you aren't able keep them in your prayers.  Here is a message from Heather with an update on Jayce from earlier today:

Update on Jayce: we thought we were heading in a better direction this morning but after they reviewed the xray again, they do see a bit of an obstruction and need to put the NG tube back in. This means no food or water, and they will have to put a nutritional line in as well, which will require sedation. He doesn't understand why they keep poking him and wants this to be over. He is very sick and we need all the prayers we can get. He did talk to his teacher and classmates this morning and that put a smile on his face. But now knowing he has to get the tube back into his nose and stomach, he is really scared and mama just can't make it better right now

Thank you all for praying, thank you for donating (we know how difficult times are for everyone) and please share this page.
