The Road to Olympia!

Hello Everyone
As you may already know, my name is Khaidem Neblett, and I am a 22 year old model, entrepreneur, and, above all, a professional Taekwondo athlete representing Trinidad and Tobago on the international level. I only started practicing Taekwondo when I was 15 years old, a bit later than most professionals in the sport, but it became my passion almost instantly.
With consistent practice and dedication, I was able to grow quickly as a professional athlete, and have been part of the Trinidad & Tobago national team for the past 5 years.
Thus far, I have been blessed with multiple gold medals, at tournaments such as the Pan American games in Mexico, the Costa Rica open, the Aruba open and the National Championships of Trinidad and Tobago in 2016 and 2018. I attained silver medal status in the Surinam open in 2015 and 2017.
In 2017 I was also nominated as one of the top 10 best male athletes of the year at the First Citizen Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year Awards for the year of 2016. Since then I have continued to compete, win, and train in different countries to gain experience. This year I still hold the title of National Champion status in my weight category, and my aim is to achieve more medals on an international arena.
With a burning ambition in my heart, and and a passionate yet humble desire for personal growth, I have now set my focus on the Olympic games of 2020. I would love to have the opportunity to represent my country at the Olympic Qualifiers in 2020 and become an athlete for Trinidad and Tobago at the highest worldwide standard of athletic excellence.
However, to commence my journey towards the Olympic games. I would need to compete in multiple tournaments worldwide to gain more experience and grow as an athlete. The first tournaments earmarked on my schedule are the Dutch Open Championships, Belgium Open Championships and German Open Championships, and also other progressive tournaments in Canada and the USA.
I am training constantly to competitive readiness, and even though I am a hard worker and juggle multiple incomes, it is impossible to fund all competitions myself. Therefore, I would need to humbly rely on crowdfunding to assist with my tournament goals.
All monies raised will be put towards traveling fees, accommodation, registration fees and living essentials whilst competing abroad. The goal is to raise $3000 EUR (approx. $24000TT) to be able to compete in as many tournaments starting this coming March in the Netherlands and then travelling to all tournaments from there, completing and returning to Trinidad by the summertime. I am also accepting applicable gear and/ training wear.
I would love nothing better, than to return home as successfully as I could possibly be, with as many medals as I can acquire, having represented my country to the best of my ability and also making one more VITAL step towards my Olympic goal.
