Hello family, friends, DBG’s and anyone willing to help.

On October 9, our brother SBC Jason Huber was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer at the age of 34.  He is a Chief Special Boat Operator (SWCC) who has served in the Navy for 16 years. He has completed many oversees deployments and has served our great nation with honor and distinction.  As you can imagine the diagnosis was extremely unexpected and heartbreaking for Jason, his wife Ashley, 14-month-old daughter Soni, and the rest of his family.

For those who are fortunate enough to have Jason in your lives, you know how genuinely kind, giving, and loving a person he is.  Our hearts are all breaking at this sad and frightening news.

Being “Jason”, he is staying positive and ready for his battle to fight this with everything he has.  He has a long road ahead of him with many months of chemotherapy and radiation, followed by potential surgeries.  He plans to try to continue to work, but this may be a difficult task, as you all know his job is among one of the most demanding in the world.

Medical bills will continue to grow and luckily, the Navy will cover most. However, outside and additional unplanned expenses will be part of this ongoing journey. Travel, lodging, and food will continue to be an addition cost that Jason’s family will inevitably face and we are hoping to give them a little comfort knowing they have help with their financial burden.

It is very hard to ask for help and knowing that Jason would never ask for it on his own, his brothers are asking for him.  It is devastating to watch him go through this, but he has a positive attitude and a warrior’s mentality who will fight through the adversity ahead of him.

If you can please feel free to donate what you can in order to help him with this trying time.  Thank you all for your love and support. Prayers are appreciated!!!
