This is very difficult for us to share...
As many of you already know, our Mom, Jasna Srsen, was diagnosed with stage IV Metastatic Breast cancer, six and a half years ago. She has battled this relentless disease with more chemotherapies than we can count, but has been able to manage independently. In September 2018, the bone cancer fractured several ribs, continued to spread all throughout her body and the disease has severely weakened her. She has been in and out of the hospital since January 2019 for endless health issues, while receiving intensive treatment including chemotherapy. Unfortunately insurance does not cover the medication needed for her to survive, including most of the hospital and home care. The out of pocket costs are extremely expensive. We would like to thank everyone for their well wishes, encouragement and all prayers. Your support and generosity during this difficult time is very much appreciated.
If we had to describe our mom in three words, they would be selfless, positive and resilient. She has always inspired us to do the right thing and push through any hardships that life throws at us. She has the biggest heart and continues to put others before herself. She has come so far fighting this cancer, please help us help her continue to fight the good fight and beat this cancer.
