Jane & Emma Nationwide Expansion!

Hello All—

We are a group of Latter-day Saints who have had the opportunity to view a groundbreaking film here in Utah entitled Jane & Emma

Jane & Emma tells the powerful, untold story of pioneer heroes Jane Manning James and Emma Hale Smith. Theirs is a story of faith, of equality, and of sisterhood.

Most of us knew very little to nothing about Jane Manning James before seeing this film. The story of her’s and Emma’s friendship is one that’s never been told. It humanizes Emma Smith and shows an Emma that we have never seen on film before. It is a beautiful story centered on sisterhood, love, and the powerful message that we are all God's children.

After having the opportunity to view this film, we fell in love with Jane and want everyone who wants to see the movie, to be given the opportunity. You can help us do that by contributing to this Gofundme.

Did we mention it is written, directed and produced by WOMEN!

What people are saying about Jane & Emma

"Thoughtful, real and intimate." - Cameron Brown

"Raw emotion, a compelling story, and two unconventional, inspirational heroines make Jane and Emma one of the best movies I have seen depicting racial tension and the kind of love that transcends cultural divide. An Intimate portrait of two women whose respect, empathy, strength and passion create an unexpected, yet powerful friendship, this film will spark both introspection and discussion. It’s the kind of story you won’t forget." - Emily Freeman

"An amazing movie about two incredible women. This movie is a must see!" - Amy Lister Sharp

What Does All This Mean?

Jane & Emma opened in limited theaters on October 12, 2018, to incredible response. People from all over the United States and as a far as New Zealand have reached out to the filmmakers personally and on social media asking for the film to be brought to them. We want to make that happen!  (Read a review of the film HERE)

After getting in touch with the filmmakers, we discovered that it is not so easy to release a film like this nationwide. That didn't stop us from wanting to help! We truly want our sisters, friends, wards, and stakes throughout the nation to be able to view this film...That is where YOU come in!

For a small donation of $25 you will:

1. Help with the distribution of the film to other cities and states. (we definitely want to bring it to you!)
2. Receive a copy of the DVD when it is released in the spring.

Host your own screening!

If you would like to host a screening we will send you a private link. Cost for the private link/screening is $10 per person that would be in attendance OR $500 for a ward/stake screening

If you would like to donate any amount, the money will go directly towards distribution and tickets throughout the country.

Meet Jane, fall in love with her story, and help us share it!

Other ways you can help

1. Share this link on social media
2. Request the film in your city/state

We are so grateful for any help you can give in spreading the message that "All are alike unto God".
