Jande Sherman's Funeral Service

Duretha Jande Sherman, born July 10th 1975, daughter of Oretha Elizabeth Sherman & the late Duke Bennus Sherman Sr. departed from us on Thursday morning May 24, 2018 at 2:40 a.m. at Atlanta Medical Hospital downtown Atlanta. Jande was born with sickle cell and had been battling this crippling disease her entire life. Despite her physical limitation, her spirit was boundless. Jande will always be remembered for being the life of the Party. She was very loving with an infectious, overwhelming at times, personality. She was constantly putting others first even against her own best interest. She was loved and will always be remembered by the Liberian community and beyond.
Due to these physical limitations, Jande was not able to work and did not qualify for any insurance. Her elderly Mother, Oretha Sherman, was her primary caregiver, and her brother, Duke Sherman Jr, was an additional provider. The purpose of this page is to give her a proper send off by calling on to the Liberian community and beyond for your prayers and financial support. The goal is to raise proceeds by June 5th, 2018. However, late donations are also appreciated. All proceeds are going to Jande's elderly mother Oretha and is being coordinated by her younger brother Duke.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
Wake is going to be on Friday June 8th from 5:00-8:00pm at Eberhart and Sons Funeral Home, 131 M.L.K. Jr Drive, Winder, GA 30680.
Viewing will be on Saturday June 9th at 9:30-11:00am followed by the funeral service from 11:00-12:00pm, Bethlehem First United Methodist Church, 709 Christmas Ave, Bethlehem GA 30620.
Internment will be at Barrow Memorial Gardens immediately after the service, 793 Atlanta HWY SE, Winder, GA 30680 and after we will go back to the church for the repass from 1:00-3:00pm.
