James Paul Memorial Fund

My brother, James, was in a bad car accident this past December and ended up being the one who took the brunt of it. Then early Friday morning, after months of healing and starting to feel like himself again, he had a seizure that caused a stroke.

The accident caused a tear in an artery that no one knew about and the build up finally released. He is now in the hospital again, is experiencing a lot of swelling on the brain that won't go down, can't stay awake more than a couple of minutes, and can't move the left side of his body.

The medical staff is doing their best to avoid surgeries, but he may need it in a couple of days if they can't get the swelling on his brain to go down.

He has a long recovery ahead. He will need to learn to walk again, and write with his opposite hand, and talk, and a lot of other basic skills. The estimated therapy time after he's released from rehab is looking close to a year or so. But we are getting positive answers and diagnoses and that's something. 

I wanted to make this so if anyone wanted to help take a little of the burden of medical expenses off my mom and step dad's shoulder they could, but mainly to show my brother some support, because he's so young and this may help him strive to stay strong and work hard to get better.
