Jamaica Spring Break Mission Trip

The Lord has blessed me here at Harding with a tremendous opportunity this coming spring break. Several students will be traveling to Portmore, Jamaica and I will be one of the three leaders of the mission trip for 1 full week, Lord willing, from March 8-March 17.  I have been involved in mission trips before, but always on the other side of it. I was one of the kids that were blessed by missionary work in the Dominican Republic. I know the impact that it has on people’s lives, it changed my worldview. Now I want to give back some of what was given to me by serving and unconditionally loving on the kids at Waterford Primary School in Jamaica.


Twenty of my friends are going with me.  We feel that this experience will help to not only bring people to know Jesus but mostly encourage Kingdom expansion.  We will be involved almost every day in activities such as personal Bible studies, VBS, mentoring children, community outreach by dividing up and having lunch with families, and our big service project is to repaint the school.

Our team has been given the goal of raising $1,350.00 each by February 22, 2019.  I am working as much as I can so that I can contribute to this goal amount, but I cannot reach this goal without the help of others.
