As most of you already know, our beloved Jai has been battling Ewing’s sarcoma for just over four years now.
Ewing's sarcoma is a rare form of cancer that grows either within the bones, or soft tissue surrounding the bones.
During the past four years, Jai has endured 3 major surgeries; 10 minor surgeries; 3 rounds of chemotherapy; 2 rounds of radiotherapy; and immunotherapy. In turn, Jai has spent many nights in a hospital bed rather than in his own.
Understandably, Jai has been unable to work throughout much of his battle. During this time, his wife Emma has worked tirelessly to support them both in their day to day lives, and to enable them to afford Jai’s ongoing treatments and surgeries.
In 2018, Jai and Emma moved back into Jai’s parents house with the aim to save money for both their wedding (which had been previously postponed due to Jai’s cancer battle), and for their own home.
After Jai entered remission for the fourth time in late 2018, he and Emma finally tied the knot.
Unfortunately, Jai has now relapsed for a fourth time, and is currently back in the oncology ward after spending two weeks in Intensive Care due to kidney failure and Sepsis resulting from his relapse.
At 29 years old, Jai has now been given news that his cancer is terminal.
Jai is kind, genuine, honest, selfless, and fiercely passionate, with a brilliant sense of humour; he is one of a rare kind of human who truly betters the lives of those around him simply by being.
The strength and positivity that both Jai and Emma show despite all that they have, and continue to face, is truly inspiring.
All donations will be gratefully received, and infinitely appreciated. Every cent will be used to pay for pre-existing, and ongoing medical expenses; to ensure Jai’s quality of life, and to support Emma into the foreseeable future.
