Jairic's Journey to Conquer Cancer

Jairic is a happy loving little 8 year old.  One day I noticed his eye was a little swollen.  We had went hiking the day before, so I though maybe he had dirt in his eye.  It continued to swell and I took him into his pediatrician, who didn't see any infection.  We were sent home and I watched it grow some more.  I decided to take him to an eye doctor as that is their specialty and maybe they could tell me what was wrong.  His eyesight was fine, but the doctor did see a "bump" in his eye, he sent me to a specialist that dealt with children.  The day we saw the specialist, she recognized the problem right away.  So what started out as a little swollen eye, turned out to be Rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a muscle cancer.    
It has been rough for our family since being diagnosed with cancer, but through all the MRI's, CAT Scans, PET scans, bone scans and poking and proding, Jairic's spirit has not been broken.

He will have to go through Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments to kill this cancer.  We will have to travel from Hawaii to Florida for his radiation treatment and contine to get chemotherapy every week, so any funds we get from this will go to his medical treatments and the travels and stays we will have to endure.

No matter how great or small our family appreciates all the support, prayers and love that has been given to us through this turmoil in our lives.  It makes life a little easier knowing that so many people care about our son and his well being.

Jairic will conquer this cancer and we will get over this obstacle in life.  He continues to be amazing and has a wonderful disposition.  Our little jokester continues to thrive every single day!
