Jackson's Fundraiser for LA Rescue Dogs

Tax deductible
How it all began...The other day we were coming home from a dinner out and Jackson (he's 3 years old) turns to me in his car seat and asks, “Mommy, some doggies don’t have homes, right?” I told him that unfortunately, yes he was right. I explained that like our new dog Dolly (she is a 5 year old lab who we just rescued from the Palmdale Animal Care Center in December and pictured with Jackson on this page), many dogs do not have homes, are taken to shelters and hopefully they become a part of a loving family. He looked at me and said, "I want to help those doggies like we helped Dolly. *insert teary mommy eyes here* Although he doesn’t exactly understand the concept of money yet, but since money is what rescue organizations really need to keep things rolling, we figured that’s the best way for us to help! So for the past week, I’ve been racking my brain, trying to think of ways a 3 year old can “work” for donations...So first things first, we decided we decided we want to give to the Frosted Faces Foundation. Frosted Faces is a nonprofit organization that delivers the promise of family and quality veterinary care for senior animals whose love and lives are in jeopardy. In most shelters, senior animals are often chosen first for euthanasia in order to make room for more animals and Frosted Faces does all they can to save those seniors. We are launching this gofundme page for him to collect donations but to get him more involved in the whole process, he wants to also make paintings for donations. (This kiddo LOVES to paint) So we are putting together an art show and silent auction that will take place March 30 at BRICK CrossFit Gym in West Hollywood. Also, we haven't even launched yet, and our campaign is going nationwide! On March 24, Cali Coffee located in Florida has informed me that they will be donating $1 from each drink sold that day to our fundraiser. In the meantime, Jackson will be working on paintings for the event and we are hoping to visit the Frosted Faces Shelter so he can meet the pups and more fully understand how the donations will be helping. We are excited to get this started (launching Feb 13 and will be accepting donations through March 31)!Jackson + MadelineCheck out our hashtag: #JacksonToTheRescue
