Jackie's Stroke Recovery

Donation protected
On September 20th, my wife Jackie was unexpectedly was hit with a hemorrhagic stroke.

Jackie had none of the typical red flags when it comes to a stroke. She is only 41 years young, is not overweight, has normal blood pressure, and has no family history of stroke. Her doctors are calling this a "spontaneous event" because they cannot find what caused the stroke.

Because of the stroke, Jackie now has right side weakness. Presently she cannot use her leg or arm (though she has some sensation) as well as impaired speech and memory loss/confusion (Apraxia and Aphasia).

Currently she is in a three week in-patient rehabilitation center, but she is looking at a long road of six months to a year before she will be able to return to work.

We do have insurance, but the deductibles as well as the out of pocket expenses are piling up quickly. During her recovery process Jackie will not be able to work and her recovery will be ongoing, which means a lot of outpatient therapy and the deductibles that will come with those. (Three therapies, 2-3 times a week at a cost of $25.00 each)

As many of you know, Jackie is a very creative person. She looks forward to not only getting back to work, but to also creating the things she loves and sharing those creations with everyone around her.

We are asking for help so that she can have a speedy recovery and get back to work and creating again.
