Hey guys
So, I would love to say I never ask for anything, but to be fair, I ask for donations to animal charities all the time.
This time is a little different, though.
As many of you already know, my stepdad and Victor’s dad, Jackie, was diagnosed with stage IV esophageal cancer three months ago. It’s been an incredibly difficult time for our family since then.
About a week ago, he contracted pneumonia, which led to cardiac arrest. He is currently being kept alive by a ventilator, and he’s not showing improvements.
Victor and I recently learned that he did not have life or burial insurance. They simply couldn’t afford it.
To further complicate matters, our mom, his wife for the last 24 years, is currently unemployed.
We have no idea what the final burial and medical expenses will be, and we are asking for help. The financial burden is far more than Mom can handle on her own.
