On September 23d, 2015, our dear friend, colleague, father, husband, and mentor Jack Gleason passed away, taken from this earth well before his time. In his honor and in honor of his accomplishments for Forsyth County, Smart Growth Forsyth County erected an initial commemorative arch at the entrance to the Interpretive Trail in Caney Creek Park -- a park whose very existance is owed to the efforts of Jack Gleason. Smart Growth is now working to complete the memorial with the addition of a stone and plaque at the foot of the arch. We hope to complete this work in time for the 2d anniversary of his death. Smart Growth is managing this effort and hopes to raise the $5,000 needed thru this Go Fund Me campaign. As Jack would say, "...live for Today while reflecting on Yesterday and planning for Tomorrow."
