A Life Long Wish Granted To Him By People Who Care: A Trip To Explore Parts of America He's Always Dreamed To See Ending At Yellow Stone National Park: Help Make It Happen Because It Won't Come True Without The Kindness Of Your Giving Heart And The Good Lord's Blessing!! Let me start by telling you that Jeff Thomas is one of the most amazing people you will ever cross path's with given the opportunity to be lucky enough to do so. From his awesome quiet yet hilarious personality, to his robust laugh that he let's out, to the loving and giving heart for his family that he loves with all of his being, to being the best ever uncle, brother, brother n law, son n law & son, to never knowing a stranger, he would help anyone with anything, to his awesome abilities to be a handyman for almost anything-turning a broken piece of furniture into a new piece that can be used for other things, to fixing just about anything in the house.... To him being JEFF, a good guy who's has given his all in this crazy journey we call life. Well, after 38 years of Jeff being all of the above, August of 2013, was diagnosed with Stage4 Colon Cancer that has metastasized to his liver & now his lymph nodes, he's had to make changes, sacrifices, and goals of things left to do, which have now turned into being "make a wish/dream come true", and we need your help in order to make this happen! In August of 2013, Jeff was 38 when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer which by this time had already metastasized to his liver. In December of 2013, after very harsh rounds of intravenous chemo, he underwent a several hour surgery that removed 60% of his liver & the cancerous parts of his colon. After surgery he went through several more doses of chemo. Several months later he was scanned and found to be cancer free but that's not where the story ends.... When you have cancer you are scanned often at first to watch for reoccurrence and well, that next scan, Jeff's cancer came back, this time invading his lymph nodes and re-attacking his liver. Jeff has been very strong throughout this journey and has an amazing support group which includes my wonderful sister and their children, and the rest of his family and friends as well. He has had to quit working because of the side effects of chemo and he and his family have came very close to losing everything since his diagnosis. My sister has had to step up and be the sole provider for their entire family/household. With that said, with your donations, a trip that he set a goal of someday doing, that is now a "wish/dream" that we would love to make come true for him and his family, will happen. One of his favorite things to do is to pack up his 1976 Winnebago motor home that he calls Zoombie and go on short camping trips to local camp grounds with his wife, daughter, son, daughter n law and nephews. His wish, his dream, that he has stated on multiple occasions since he was told that he doesn't have long to live, is to go on an All American Road Trip with his amazing wife and wonderful children. With everything they've endured financially due to Jeff's cancer diagnosis, this trip WILL NOT happen without YOUR HELP. His dream/wish is to drive his Zoombie, which is in great condition, on one last trip, exploring parts of America he had set out to see, with the ending destination being at Yellow Stone National Park. He needs help with gas, food, lodging of his Zoombie, and the cost of the adventure in its entirety.
