Our Dear Friend Has Lost a Son

There are certain people who we encounter throughout this life who try to make it more bearable for others. They always seem to appear when they are needed most. Then, to avoid compensation of any sort, they downplay the impact of their kindness.

On Monday, our dearest friend and classmate, Tammy Colapietro, lost her beloved son, “Philly”. She fought side-by-side with him for many years in his attempt to overcome drug addiction. Many times, she needed to exhaust what she had saved in order to get Phil the proper treatment.

In these tough financial times, many of us need to choose carefully where our charitable dollars will land. However, if you are able to donate to help offset the expenses of Philly’s funeral costs (no amount is too small), know that somewhere down the line, Tammy will undoubtedly find an excuse to pay it forward.
