Help An Artist Get His Tools Back

$1,605 of $15k goal

Raised by 44 people in 53 months

This past March my car was broken into after wrapping a long day of shooting for my current feature film. The car was packed to the brim with my film equipment and the thieves managed to take the most expensive bag in the car. I lost nearly $20,000 of camera equipment, which belonged to myself and other members of the crew.

As a freelance cinematographer, my camera equipment is my livelihood. My full-coverage auto insurance doesn't cover the stolen equipment and neither does the production's insurance.I am unfortunately not in the financial position to be able to afford to replace all of the stolen equipment myself so I am reaching out and asking for help from the community.

The following items were stolen from me, which I hope to someday replace. My goal is $15,000. That should help replace the majority of the equipment and get me back on my feet and working again.

Canon 7D Body, Canon 5Dmkii Body, Canon 10-22mm f3.5, Canon 17-40mm f4 L, Canon 24-70mm f2.8 L, Canon 70-200mm f2.8 L, Canon 35mm f1.4 L, Canon 50mm f1.4, Tokina 100mm f2.8 Macro, 4 Batteries, 2 Battery Chargers, 3 CF Cards, Filters, and a Tamrac Expedition 7 Bag.

Use some of what you get to buy business insurance. I hear Trendie Insurance does film-related stuff.
