I'm hoping that my sister (H) and I can get some help with our rent, so we can avoid eviction.
H and I have a number of medical issues between us. We work transcription, which offers unsteady employment, and is sometimes difficult to do with our various ailments. Despite still pushing forward to work as hard as we can through illness, we struggle to make ends meet and are especially struggling this month as we try to pay rent.
H has been dealing with intense facial pain that makes it difficult to wear headphones, but has been working despite this. She has been unable to receive medical help up to this point, but we're hoping to be able to get her checked out for possible TMJ due to dental surgery within the next month. I have congestive heart failure, which sometimes makes it difficult to work as well.
We are hoping to raise $400 to help make up the difference between what we've been able to pull together on our own and the amount we need for rent, which is $600. We have been able to work our way up to $200 on our own steam this week, but it will not be enough to keep us in our home.
