Today marks a very sad day in our IVF journey. My partner Amanda and I have been informed that after a very long week of waiting anxiously that our 2 surviving embryos out of 6 didn't make it.....
Over the past 7 months we have been enduring the highs and lows of the IVF process. From counselling, endless doctors appointments, the psychology assessments, travel and time off work. To daily needles and medications, ultrasounds, blood tests and egg collection and the past grueling week waiting and hoping for good news. We had one shot at it, one egg collection, that's all we could possibly afford as 1 egg collection alone costs in excess of $15,000.
The end result for us has left us emotionally and financially exhausted. So far we have spent $30,000, all the savings we had to get as far as we have.
We are determined to keep fighting in hope of our dream of a little baby Corin but without your help this just won't be an option for us.
