It's times like these you give..- Helping Renee

Hi everyone, 

I have started this campaign in the hope to raise some much needed funds for Renee and her beautiful girls.  Renee has stage 4 cancer, all the details are below as I think they are best explaind by Renee herself.

Cancer is a hard enough battle on it's own. As a single mother not only is Renee fighting to save her life, she is  also faced with trying to financially survive and support her daughters through this battle which as we all know can be difficult enough without the added burdon of an illness, that will leave her unable to work for some time ahead. We can't take the cancer away, as much as we would like to try. What we can do is help to ease the finacial stresses so that Renee can focus all of her attention on beating this horrible thing.

I met Renee through our shared loved of Foo Fighters, she is a beautiful, caring, giving and loving soul. And in the words of our beloved Dave Grohl.. " it's times like these you give and give again" 


 
So fellow Foo fans, friends, family and strangers.. I am asking you to GIVE and GIVE some more.  Whether it be a little or a lot, please help support Renee. If you are unable to personally give a donation, then please share the hell out of this campaign so it can reach as many people as possible. The monetary goal might seem like alot but when you think about it, it's Renee's rent alone for 6 months.

'Forgive me if you're hearing this for the first time by reading this but I've had this conversation too many times lately & I quite simply can't be doing it individually any more.

I'm sick, my friends.
I have cancer.
I'm sorry I couldn't do this in another manner & I'm sorry to share this crap news at such an important time of year.

I'll be ok.

No need for sympathy or wishes. All I ask is that if you're able, then just help my two beautiful daughters. I don't need much, I really only need to know my babies have support.

I will be ok!

Please don't send me stories or advice. I have a great support network & complete faith in medical (& alternative) science & have already received a wonderful wealth of resources to help me in many ways.

Details for those with questions;
Colorectal cancer. Stage 4.
No family history.
15cm discovered early December and after recent scans, it's growth is aggressive.

Treatment Plan is firstly to have a stoma fitted on Tuesday 15th January followed two weeks later by Radiation & Chemotherapy 5 days a week for 6 weeks followed by surgery a few weeks later to remove the grotesque parasite along with a hysterectomy which will bring on early menopause.
Finally, my body will be blasted with the hard core chemo to attack anything left which will give me the greatest chance of it not coming back.
Then 6 months of recovery & further tests to ensure all is cured.

Totes positive.
Yes I feel like shit. Yes it's taken ages. No, nobody is to blame. Yes I have an amazing no-bullshit GP & team behind me & I am beyond grateful to the teams who deal with this nasty shit daily.

Yes. I'm scared shitless.
And yes. I'll win.

I have no intentions of leaving my daughters alone in this mad mad world.
