My name is Mykaila Istvanyi, I'm 17, and I am excited to be running for Miss California Teen USA. I qualified through the Miss Universal Model pageant held on September 9th, at the Betty Ford Center.
I started my modeling career last summer with Willow Model Management and have been able to work with amazing photographers, videographers and makeup artists. I'm looking forward to trying a different approach to the modeling world by being a part of this pageant.
I know this will lead to greater opportunities for me to further my modeling career, a career that will hopefully be able to help fund my college expenses. I am highly dedicated to my education, having maintained a 4.0 GPA and higher during my high school years and taking AP classes. I have participated in musical theater, played on the JV soccer team and am now the co- captain of the Varsity tennis team. I plan to attend a University of California next fall.
Participating in the state pageant help me make a larger impact within my own community. I currently serve on the City of San Marcos Youth Commission, and as a member, I have volunteered for local events and addressed environmental and mental health isssues within the community.
With your sponsorship, I am also able to support and bring awareness to my charity, Operation Blankets of Love (OBOL), an award winning non-profit that collects and distributes pet items to homeless animals in shelters. As an ambassador, this pageant will give me the platform and opportunity to promote such a good cause. Like so many others, I am an animal lover, with an aspiration to one day open up my own animal sanctuary .
No amount is too small, as anything will help. In return for your tax deductable donation, I would love to donate my time at your business, or preferred place of charity. I am looking to complete my fundraising by Novemeber 15, as the pageant is December 2nd and 3rd at the Long Beach Terrace Theater.
