Island Haven Hay-Raiser!

Tax deductible
This year the local hay harvest on San Juan Island was down 30-50% due to low rainfall in May.  What does this mean for Island Haven?  It means that community members were only able to donate 20 bales of hay, instead of 250 bales, like they did in 2017.  This leaves us with a shortfall of at least 230 bales going into winter, and there is no local hay to be purchased, so we will need to get a delivery from off island, which is costly.  Island Haven's twelve horses, two llamas, two alpacas and two goats are counting on your help.  $20 buys one bale of hay, which can feed a horse for two days. Please consider helping us, we are desperately close to running out of hay and need to get an order in for delivery right away.  We, and all the animals at Island Haven, thank you.
