Ramadan 1441 AH / 2020 CE started from Friday April 24, 2020.
Brother Bashir Yousafzai is leading the Ramadan activities at ISGR.
We need the support for the activities including daily Suhr (starting the fast), Iftar (breaking the fast)/dinner, Taraweeh (special night prayer), Qiyam-ul-Lail (special prayers during last 10 days) and much more.
We raised amount needed for last Ramadan 1440 AH / 2019 CE offline.
April 19 2019 Islamic society of Greater Richmond (ISGR) needs urgent support for activities during Ramadan including daily Suhr (starting the fast), Iftar (breaking the fast)/dinner, Taraweeh (special night prayer), Qiyam-ul-Lail (special prayers during last 10 days) and much more.
ISGR found two Hufaz (plural of Hafiz-ul-Qur'an one who have memorized the whole Qur'an). Also, plans to hire a needy widow from Iraq to cook dinner every day during Ramadan. ISGR also plans to hire needy Muslims to help us prepare and setup daily Iftar/dinner and Suhr.
ISGR have been offering Ramadan activities since September 1997 (for more than 21 years). Visit ISGR Ramadan activities for more detail. As we get close to Eid-ul-Fitr, we start distributing Zakat-ul-Fitr in cooperation with local Masajid
Without support, we may not be able to offer so many services during the holy month of Ramadan.
