Isaiah's Brain tumor Surgery Fund
Donation protected
I had the pleasure of meeting Isaiah and his family at Sloan Kettering while my child was fighting cancer back in 2011 and we've been the best of friends ever since. I'm creating this gofund you account because I know first hand how expensive it is to have a sick child and how helpful it was to have the support of family , friends and strangers.
Isaiah is a 14 year old sweet and caring boy. He loves sports and video games and enjoys the outdoors. Just like any other teenage boy except Isaiah is a little different , he is blind in one eye. When he was two years old he was diagnosed with Pylositic Astrocytoma ( Brain tumor) . He had emergency surgery that took over 12 hours to remove part of the tumor but ultimately lost his site in the one eye. He endured many years of Chemotherapy and three more additional surgeries to relieve pressure on the brain. Although the doctors weren't able to remove all of the tumor they felt it was contained and stable. For the past six years Isaiah has tried to live a somewhat normal teenage life while having to have brain scans every four months. That is until last week when his family was told the tumor has grown and is causing a potential threat to his good eye.
His parents and younger sister are devastated, their worst nightmare is upon them. He will be having his fifth brain surgery this Friday on 10/21 in NYC.
The family is going to need all the help they can get with medical, traveling expenses, lost of income as well as Isaiah's long road of recovery. Any donation will be helpful and greatly appreciated.
