I have been granted the amazing opportunity to travel to Dublin with the Sage Corps to work for the start-up company, Buymedia, over the summer. I will be working in a Sales/Marketing/Business Development role with the company from mid-June to mid-August.
This would be so beneficial to my future, but if I cannot get the money together, then I cannot go.
In order to get this opportunity, I had to maintain a 3.5 GPA and show outstanding leadership potential. I am an active member of the Penn State Thespians, No Refund Theater, Volé Ballet Company, The Coda Conduct, and previously the Singing Lions. On top of all of these activities, I have taken at least 14 credits each semester and held a job at Schwab Auditorium.
Traveling abroad has never been an option for me before, but with the Sage Corps, I can work and explore different cultures.
The Sage Corps price for the trip is $6195 but that doesn’t include travel costs and some meals. I have applied to a number of scholarships, but will not hear back from them for a while.
Any contribution you can make would be so appreciated. Even if it's just a dollar. Please share this page. Even if you cannot personally donate, maybe someone else can.
