Irving Castillo Spinal-Cord Injury Recovery Fund


Last month, our friend, Irving, endured a horrific accident that has left him with a spinal-cord injury and paralyzed from the belly button down. While we are beyond blessed to still have him here with us, Irving is facing a life-changing injury at only 21 years young. His road to recovery will be a long, painful, exhausting, and costly one. Irving will be unable to return to his job in a wheelchair, costing him his entire income. He will need to spend even more time in hospitals and transitional rehabilitation centers before he will be able to return to his home, which will need new wheelchair-accessible modifications.  


Irving’s family is already beginning alterations to the house, which will be expansive and expensive. Specifically, he will need an outdoor ramp, an indoor chair-lift, and a complete renovation to the lower level, including both his bedroom and bathroom.


Irving comes from a close, kind, caring, and hardworking family, who have extended their help to me personally more times than I can count. His tragedy has affected them all in more ways than we can imagine. Please consider helping us to help them all through this tough time. Thank you and God bless.



El mes pasado, nuestro amigo Irving sufrió un accidente que lo dejó con una lesión en la médula espinal en una silla de ruedas sin el uso de sus piernas. Mientras estamos bendecidos de tenerlo aquí con nosotros, Irving se enfrenta a una lesión que le cambiara la vida a los 21 años. Su camino hacia la recuperación será largo, doloroso, agotador y costoso. Irving no podrá regresar a su trabajo en una silla de ruedas esto le costará todo su ingreso. Tendra que pasar aún más tiempo en hospitales y centros de rehabilitación de transición antes de poder regresar a su hogar, que necesitará nuevas modificaciones accesibles para silla de ruedas.

Irving proviene de una familia cercana, cariñosa y trabajadora que me ha brindado su ayuda personalmente más veces de las que puedo contar.
