IronMan Ultimatum for Tír na nÓg

A recently bikeless fundraiser, with a swimming phobia will triumphantly cross the finish line in numerous events in the coming weeks, all in aid of a fantasic charity, the Tír na nÓg Orphanage. The 7 events culminate in a full IronMan in Italy in September. If you have never heard of an IronMan just click on the red text above for a very short video.
I don't intend on training, competing and flying to a seaside town in Italy to make up the numbers, I will be powering past whoever is in sight and I really hope that you will support me by donating to this brilliant charity, giving children a new lease on life and a huge oppurtunity of a better future for themselves.
Tir na nOg Orphanage is an Oprhanage in Boma nGombe Tanzania established in 2006 by Louise Quill. The Orphanage caters for over 30 children in one of the poorest countries in the World.

Even if you can't donate, please take a few minutes where Louise talks about the orphanage and the inspiring work she and her collegues do. It really is an eye opening and powerful story that you should take the time to watch.

IRONMAN ITALY EMILIA-ROMAGNA September 23rd
I very recently started some swimming lessons and got a loan of a racer from a friend. As well as the water phobia and lack of any swimming experience, I never cycled a racer and haven't owned on a bike since school (a long time ago now!!!).
Anyway the swimming lessons have started, a mini triathalon done in Athy and the Wicklow 100km cycling event over the Wicklow mountains.
After the first 6 events are tackled, I will be powering to the finishing line in Italy in September. Here I will be mastering a 4km swim in the challenging open water, conquering the 180 km cycle and racing through a full marathon.
Your donation to Tir na Nog will make these gruelling few weeks so much more worthwile to those in great need and help Louise and her colleagues with their amazing work.
