Help Fund Shoshana Jedwab's Album
My name is Shoshana Jedwab. I’m a hand drummer and singer of sacred music. I’m a twenty-five year Jewish educator, and I lead drum circles for people of all ages. Over the past years of my working in communities I’ve composed seven chants and prayersongs. I began recording them in 2011 and I’ve entitled my debut studio album “I Remember”. The songs of “I Remember” are soothing and inspiring and just make you want to dance over and over again. They’re all arranged in a global music genre and the album will take you on a spiritual pilgrimage from India to the Middle East to Cuba to Louisiana.
I began making “I Remember” in 2011 with a generous gift from my late aunt and uncle Mildred and Samuel Livson, may their memory be for a blessing. I gathered a global team of professional producers, engineers, musicians and singers, and together we started recording the chants and prayersongs of my CD. My team and I have gotten very far. I’ve recorded and edited five out of the seven tracks but I need your help to complete this project.
I need $25,000 to finish the album. I will use your gift to arrange, record and produce the last two tracks of this seven-song project, to mix and master all seven tracks and print, market, download, communicate, deliver and perform “I Remember”. I want to finish my debut album and share these chants and prayersongs with the world. Your financial contribution to the completion of “I Remember” will bring the words of ancient Hebrew poets, Talmudic and Hassidic teachers, Sufi masters, wise woman and contemporary voices to musical life. Please donate, and share this campaign today. Don’t forget “I Remember”!

I must also share that while “I Remember” has been born, my father has also passed away. This period of sharing my musical project with the world has been mixed with uncanny loss. You are with me in this place of vacancy and blessing, in this Garden of Paradox.
I waited the customary thirty days from my father’s burial before formally releasing “I Remember” on July 14, 2016. I am grateful to Kirtan Rabbi, Andrew Hahn, for including my singing of “I Remember” at the Hebrew Kirtan at the Aleph Kallah in Fort Collins, CO. At that well attended event we visited the Heavens with intentional, powerful chanting and dancing. I look forward to many more musical journeys with you and others. I will keep you updated on performances and other events. Please spread the word on social media about this music. I am gearing up to offer this music live and in person. The Go Fund Me drive is still open for those wishing to defray the costs for “I Remember” performances, music video production, publicity and education. Thank you again for supporting my music.
