Iowa's first Farm Sanctuary

Thank you for visiting our page! My wife, Shawn, and I have a dream to start the first farm animal sanctuary in the state of Iowa. We have been dedicating ourselves to this cause day in and day out for the past two years after visiting a farm sanctuary in a neighboring state. The day we left the sanctuary, we knew exactly what our mission was;  to establish a safe, loving home for farm animals to live and thrive in while experiencing the joys life has to offer. We feel that at every step of their lives, all animals should be treated with compassion and protected from suffering. Sadly, billions of farm animals lack even the most basic comforts a living being should have. This is where all of us come in. Together with your help, we can reach our goal and provide a wonderful life to a multitude of different animals.
We have found a farm with enough acres to house hundreds of different farm animals. This property will provide enough resources and shelter for all the animas in a way they have never seen. According to the USDA, 2% of U.S. livestock facilities raise an estimated 40% of all farm animals. This means that pigs, chickens and cows are concentrated in a small number of very large farms. More than 99% of farm animals nationwide are raised in factory farms. Factory farms are large, industrial operations that raise large numbers of animals for food. These farms focus on profit and efficiency, rather than animal welfare.  We are focused on the well-being of thinking, conscious, intelligent beings that are fully capable of experiencing complex emotions such as happiness and joy.
