Hamilton Research Trip

The funds raised by this GoFundMe will go toward three things:
1. A ticket to see Hamilton: An American Musical at the Richard Rodgers Theater in New York City.
2. Gas money to get me to and from New York City.
3. A place to stay while I am in New York City to see the musical as well as see the historical places around the city related to the musical.
The information gathered during this trip will be used while working on my dissertation that looks at how Hamilton has become a cultural phenomenon and why people of all types have become enamored by it. Part of being able to answer those questions is to see it on Broadway. I cannot see it before any more of the original cast leaves, but they are only a part of this greater picture. Being able to experience the show live as it was envisioned, in a room full of other people who are there to see it is very important to being able to answer those questions.
I cannot offer any physical rewards, simply my gratitude for whatever you can spare and inclusion in the acknowledgements of my dissertation.
