Insights Hurt Volume 2

I originally self-published my first book of reflections, essays and poetry, Insights Hurt: Bringing Healing Thoughts to Life in 2015 as a way of sharing my path towards living a healed, reflective life. Since then, I’ve been immensely humbled by its reception. As it turns out, and as I suspected (or oddly, but sympathetically, hoped for), insights didn’t just hurt me. They seemingly hurt for everyone. I received numerous 5-star reviews on Amazon. And, shortly after sending the original Insights Hurt off for publication, I began my Insights Hurt blog on Facebook at www.facebook.com/insightshurt . My blog was “public,” meaning anyone on Facebook could find it, share it, comment on it…or ignore it. Many likely ignored it I’m sure, but many paid close attention. Strangers commented and shared my posts. Some would post comments and tag others, for reasons that must have been deeply personal to them but which I could only imagine. The community of followers grew, and with each new “like,” share or comment, I felt the sprouting of a tiny seed of pride. Occasionally, I would be fortunate enough for someone to send me a message about the insight. On more than one occasion, absolute strangers asked for my prayers. I always promised to give what I could, and when asked, I incorporated strangers who had humbled themselves enough to seek my intervention into my own humble prayers.

Over the last several years, I have compiled more essays, more poetry, and more insights. I have enough material now to publish a second volume of Insights Hurt. The legacy of bringing more healing, more living, and more life to people is important to me, but I need the funding to make it happen. I hope you help contribute so I can self-publish this work that is so very important to me, and others.
