On The INLETS (INtel and Law Enforcement Training Seminar), much like the name suggests, serves as a conduit from federal resources and experience to the state and local agencies and stakeholder industries, much like an inlet connects an ocean to waterways and back bays.
A chance to give back…
We invite you to participate in our Above & Beyond award program to recognize officers and civilian employees.
With tight budgets impacting police departments of all sizes and nearly 50% of departments having less than 10 sworn officers, training funds are often limited. Each year we meet attendees who pay all of their own expenses to attend the annual week-long seminar; air travel, car transportation, hotel accommodations, and registration fees – which are kept at an absolute minimum.
We are currently accepting nominations from police chiefs and sheriffs across the country for officers and civilians that have shown exceptional valor and distinguished service through their investigations. These are the unsung heroes of our communities. Regardless of the amount, you are supporting those who protect our communities.
Award winners will be given a scholarship which covers the cost of seminar registration and hotel accommodations (an approximate $1,000 value), and be recognized during the “Tribute to Heroes” reception dinner.
This award program is led by InfraGard, the Maryland Community Crime Prevention Institute, and the Maryland Crime Prevention Association. The program is funded by individuals and organizations making donations to provide this training opportunity to those who protect our communities.
Scholarship recipients will be recognized for their exceptional service during our Tribute to Heroes dinner.
