We’ve called, we’ve rallied, we’ve shown up weekly at their offices, but we still can’t seem to get their attention. During their last recess, our Senators and Representatives slipped in and out of the state without a single town hall, though they did have time to hold fundraisers and meet with their donors.
That is not what a representative democracy is about.
It’s time we grabbed their attention and remind them that we are not going away, and we aren’t giving up.
Will you contribute to a half page ad? As a 501(c)(4), The Idaho Statesman has quoted us the cost of a half-page ad at $1,680. With hundreds of thousands of readers and online viewers each day, this will be a great venue for our message. Our Senator;s and Represenatatives will be home on recess April 10-16 so we would like to have the ad run the week prior so that we can send copies to our MOC's staff here in Idaho and in DC and bring awareness to the fact they will be home during that time.
While we’ll work with the paper for a final draft of the ad, we think it should read something similar to this with Crapo, Risch, Simpson, and Labradors photos included:
