Im a 47 year old disabled man with quite a unique , complicated health condition that is challenging but I always continue to fight !
As a disabled individual and having beaten a lot of serious health issues over the past 20+ years. I decided to use my healthcare problems, experience to help others ! I have done a great deal of voluntary work over the past 4 years and attended many events. Everything I have done is because I want to help others. Through Non Profit , Largely Self Funded Innovation and Education .

MY HEALTH AND HOW IT EFFECTS ME !
On the 12 August 1995 I fractured my C Spine in 2 places, damaged my Brachial Plexus, Peripheral Nerves leading to 20+ years of serious healthcare problems :
These photos are from my Spinal Cord Surgery the results and after having the implant fitted as an experimental trial with the battery pack, controller under the skin located in my abdomen.
This is how they get access to the Spinal Cord. To do this surgery they had to take bone away leaving my ‘ Spinal Cord ‘ exposed which left me with more of a disability. They no longer do this type of procedure as it’s so Invasive!
The fit a ‘ Halo ‘ screwed into the skull to keep the head, neck perfectly still during the surgery!
The location of the battery, controller causes problems with scans, treatment even having MRI, Soundwave Treatment, certain types of Ultrasound. It is forbidden , dangerous and can be life threatening.
MY FIRST POST TESTICULAR SURGERY FOLLOW UP !
I had my 1st ‘ Post Testicular Removal Surgery ‘ check up after discovery of the dreaded ‘ C ‘ ! These follow up tests have led to finding additional problems that need treatment. The problem in the UK is that until it becomes an emergency they don’t treat it so. This is what makes many problems far worse than if treated earlier.
FURTHER LIVER TEST & INVESTIGATIONS NEEDED !
After Ultrasound Scans my follow up treatment indicates I have ‘ Non Alcoholic Liver Disease ‘ . Verified by Ultrasound Scans and Blood Tests that are further down in this ‘ GoFundMe Campaign ‘. Only a ‘ Biopsy ‘ will determine whether there is any further problem or damage to the liver . It also helps me receive the best treatment.
The Implanted battery is making everything extremely difficult . The battery, controller is ‘ Non Functional, Dead ‘ but they won’t remove it quickly for my other problems as it is not an emergency with the implant itself ! This means that Instead of going through the abdomen ( The Normal Method ) they would need to take the biopsy through the side of my body. This is a much deeper, painful procedure with high risks of bleeding .
THE RESULTS FROM FOLLOW UP TESTS I HAD ON WEDNESDAY 27th FEBRUARY 2019.
Since I had my Testicular Cancer Surgery I have been left with 2 Cysts in my Left Kidney , a Growth on my Right Kidney and the Kidney Stone found during the removal of my Testicle is now much larger !
Since removal of my Testicle I don’t make Androgen the all important hormone ‘ Testosterone ‘ . Leaving me to get TRT ( Testosterone Replacement Therapy ) . This is the only way to make my body function like a normal 47 year old ‘ Man ‘ , as without it I have levels of an 85 year old! I have started with my 1st Injection of Nebido which I have been taking for the past year that’s another injection every 3 months for another year for the rest of my life. The cost is £600 as it’s not available on the NHS at my CGC.
These are all additional problems found since my follow up after 1 year . They are completely separate from the actual reason I started this campaign but it is causing a huge impact on the future of my health . 27/2/19
THE RESTRICTIONS FOR FURTHER TREATMENTS .
As the Implanted battery is located in my right abdomen just below the skin . The treatment for Kidney Stone removal is ‘ High Frequency Sonic Waves ‘ to break up the stone making it possible to pass through urine.
At the moment it’s size is way too big to pass in urine & the implant is preventing ‘ Sonic Wave ‘ destruction of the stone as it will generate a lot of heat in the area and the Implant is at high risk, may cause explosion or leakage of the battery into my body.
The movement of the Stone would mean having ‘ Open Surgery ‘ on the Kidney! This causes further risk instead of normal Non Invasive Treatment . After contacting the Doctor they will not remove the battery as it’s not an Emergency . I have even contacted Medtronic the manufacturer and they advise to get it removed. As this is not classed as a Medical Emergency it requires my ‘ General Practitioners Referral ‘ to a Hospital for consultation, discussion and decision .
The current waiting time is 3 to 6 months for non urgent appointments . Then 3 - 6 month wait after the Hospital Consultation. Then waiting when a slot is available.
The Implanted Battery in the abdomen needs to be removed for any further treatments can be done.

This is how my face , mouth, nose is currently ! The pain , side effects are quite difficult to deal with.
HOW I ENDED UP BEING LIKE THIS ?
Not long ago whilst attempting to transfer from my wheelchair to another position I slipped and fell. At that time I didn’t have my care assistant at home but needed to move from my chair .
Due to my healthcare problems, disability and being a partial amputee the restriction of having my one hand support my entire weight led to losing my balance and falling .
So my entire body landed face down with all my weight behind it .
So hitting the ground caused injuries! I injured my face, body and cracked my knee ( which has healed ) .
My breathing has been affected as I tore and have a ‘ Deviated Septum this caused Sinus tracts to get blocked and infection set in. After a few courses of Antibiotics I still have the problem . Severe headache, pain above eyes, below eyes, head and difficulty breathing .
THE POWER OF A SMILE ON HEALTH AND LIFE !
Looking and being in this position is soul destroying. ! It doesn’t include the pain, difficult breathing and further addiction to increased pain medication.
Despite my healthcare problems and beating Testicular C over a year ago I try to look on the ‘ Brighter Side ‘ of life.
Hiding the physical pain, interacting with people is extremely important and helps boost my mind, body, soul. It’s a great therapy being able to speak, laugh & smile! It’s especially rewarding being able to help others !
The fall caused me to lose my front teeth and damage my gums. The ongoing problems and infections have left me with only 5 teeth in my upper jaw! Also losing 4 teeth on my bottom jaw as they become loose leading to then being infected.
Because of being disabled with the various healthcare medical issues above I’m unable to get any type of Healthcare Insurance ! Either I’m turned down or not covered by the existing condition clauses.
The UK has its Healthcare Platform, the NHS. They don’t cover for Dental Treatment just the basics ( taking the infected teeth out ) .
The Nose Surgery ( Nose Job ) is classed as ‘ Cosmetic Surgery ‘ to have the Septum Repair, widening of Sinuses Tract.
SINUS SEPTUM ENDOSCOPIC SURGERY.
The cost of treatments in the UK is ridiculous and with my Complex Medical Problems eating properly is important, at the moment I have a very limited food choice not being able to bite, chew properly . Im a Diabetic and after previous episodes of Stroke, Heart Problems take around 40 Tablets every day ! Eating properly is extremely important for my health.
Above is my medication for 1 day ! ( the glasses have Morphine Liquid & Oxycodone both highly addictive opiates ) .
Disabled for over 22 years getting any type of loan, finance, monthly payment is impossible.
I don’t have an income lenders will count, accept and not having a Credit History is a catch 22 situation .
MY BLOOD TESTS INDICATE I AM HAVING PROBLEMS!
The blood results are high as I’m taking medication to combat the various healthcare problems..
With the Infections, Blood Glucose, Liver, Cholesterol and hypogonadism ( Due to not producing hormones after Testicular removal ). These are all connected to my current situation.
This is just to show what happens to the body when Testosterone Levels are Low !
I do a great deal of Non Profit, Disability Advocation to help others ! I try to help people in different ways using my own experiences.

Ironically all these problems have affected my ‘ Independent Living ‘ .
After a lot of time discussing the options available to help me, the solution is for a procedure known as All on 4 , All on 6 ( Teeth in a Day ).
With my current health the ‘ All on 6 ‘ treatment is the most stable. It is less Invasive giving me teeth in 3 days.
Instead of individual implants ( costing approximately £2000 per tooth! ) waiting up to 12 months the ‘ All On 6 ‘ method uses 6 titanium implants mounted in the top jaw at different angles. Here is what it looks like .

As I had to travel to the Czech Republic where my Testicular Surgery was done & having my follow up from the surgery with Kidney scans, Testosterone Replacement Therapy, ETC .
This has already cost me £1200 ( money I had to borrow & unable to pay back ) ! This is more stress and worry which is making my condition even worse.
I have the opportunity to get all needed treatments including Septum Repair, Teeth, Surgery done at a very low cost . I can then get my life back .
The total cost for all the treatments, travel is approximately £12500 for my Teeth, Sinus Surgery & Battery Removal.
The only way I can do this is by raising enough funds to cover the costs of treatment, travel costs to get everything done as soon as I can. The more time passes I’m suffering from further loss of remaining teeth, damaging my jaw bone and getting more depressed every day . It has been a difficult past year I really want to get this out of the way.

Antibiotics used to treat the infections are no longer possible, the effects of ongoing antibiotics make the body resistant, I’m an MRSA carrier and the risk increases of infection not being destroyed . The affects on my stomach, body in general & with my immune system already very very low after Testicular Cancer . I’m limited on what to do next !
I am also at risk for any treatment, use of anaesthetic, recovery all have to be taken very seriously. As I have already had tests, treatment, previous surgery my healthcare records are already updated and this makes it possible to receive all the various treatments I need in the Czech Republic. Done quickly using the exact type of treatments needed.

As I had to travel to the Czech Republic where my Testicular Surgery was done & having my follow up from the surgery with Kidney scans, Testosterone Replacement Therapy, ETC .
This has already cost me £1200 ( money I had to borrow & unable to pay back ) ! This is more stress and worry which is making my condition even worse.
I have the opportunity to get all needed treatments including Septum Repair, Teeth, Surgery done at a very low cost . I can then get my life back .
The total cost for all the treatments, travel is approximately £12500 for my Teeth, Sinus Surgery & Battery Removal.
The only way I can do this is by raising enough funds to cover the costs of treatment, travel costs to get everything done as soon as I can. The more time passes I’m suffering from further loss of remaining teeth, damaging my jaw bone and getting more depressed every day . It has been a difficult past year I really want to get this out of the way.

Antibiotics used to treat the infections are no longer possible, the effects of ongoing antibiotics make the body resistant, I’m an MRSA carrier and the risk increases of infection not being destroyed . The affects on my stomach, body in general & with my immune system already very very low after Testicular Cancer . I’m limited on what to do next !
I am also at risk for any treatment, use of anaesthetic, recovery all have to be taken very seriously. As I have already had tests, treatment, previous surgery my healthcare records are already updated and this makes it possible to receive all the various treatments I need in the Czech Republic. Done quickly using the exact type of treatments needed.

The following treatment is the next step forward. The cost is for the treatment on top the existing funds raised.
Removal of Implanted Battery for Kidney Stone Sonic Wave Treatment, Liver Biopsy and changes for all the remaining options which include Removing All Teeth , Upper & Lower Bone Grafting , Gum Surgery , Temp Full Upper/Lower Dentures after stitching removed. Waiting 6-12 months with Intermediate treatment prior to the ‘ All on 4/6 ‘ Implants Of teeth .
