I am seeking your help to raise funds for INCLUDEnyc (www.includenyc.org) which provides a multi lingual resource line, one-on-one support, workshops and advocacy advice -- all free of charge -- for young people with disabilities and their families. Since its founding in 1983, INCLUDEnyc has served nearly 250,000 individuals, transforming the lives of young people and helping them live with dignity and opportunity.
In 2017, we are aiming to assist 5,000 parents, caregivers, and youth with special needs for which I am raising $10,000 through LinkedIn employees. This money will go towards presenting informational parent workshops, providing one-on-one student educational assistance, and promoting meaningful inclusion for our youth in the broader community. Through this campaign, these young people will have better access to appropriate schools, employment, living opportunities, and the social activities they deserve.
INCLUDEnyc is one of the most highly rated charities in its field with industry leading accountability and financial management practices.
Thousands of young people with disabilities struggle each day to access even the basic schooling, housing and transportation services. They also face social barriers that prevent them from being included in all aspects of our society. I have personally seen two of my family members go through these challenges every day.
INCLUDEnyc is doing an incredible job to create equal opportunities for a disenfranchised section of the society.
