Hello Everyone,
First off, I would like to thank everyone for taking a minute to read my Aunt's story. Even if you are not able to contribute to this cause, we would really appreciate if everyone could keep my aunt Nini and cousin Rey in your prayers.
On Saturday July 6th 2019, Nini was attacked by her mentally ill husband in Markham, Ontario. We never thought that his mental illness was so severe and would result in him becoming extremely violent and dangerous. During that time, Rey was at work. Rey received a weird voice message from her mom stating that she loved her and how she would always be in her heart followed by a whisper saying “call 911”. Rey then quickly left work to rush home and called 911 to meet her at the house. When she arrived home, she found her mom bleeding out on the floor and blood splattered everywhere.
Nini suffered multiple stab wounds, a blow to the head and multiple cuts all over her body. She lost a lot of blood and had to have plastic surgery to reattach the veins in both her hands. Due to the amount of trauma her body went through, Nini is currently admitted to the intensive care unit in a Toronto hospital with 2 chest tubes, a collapsed lung and liver lacerations (damage to her liver) among all the other things she’s had to endure.
Her husband was arrested on the scene.
Not only did he leave Nini and Rey traumatized, he left them in a financial mess as well. Multiple mortgage payments were missed and loans were taken on the house that were not disclosed to Nini and Rey.
Nini and Rey were given until JULY 20th 2019 for their HOUSE FORECLOSURE. If they do not pay the full amount owed to ROYAL BANK AND CIBC, they will be left with NO HOME and NO MONEY on top of their shattered hearts. Due to Nini’s invasive injuries, Nini is unable to work for 8-12 months and needs a caregiver which means Rey is required to stay home and will be unable to work as well.
Nini and Rey need $150,000 to pay the bank in order to get possession of their home back and the remainder will be used to help Nini and Rey pay off basic necessities such as groceries, bills, etc. for the time Nini will be off from work which is expected to be at least 6-8 months for her recovery.
My family is broken. We are all trying to do the best we can to help but we also need your help to save their home and help support Nini’s speedy and stress free recovery.
No amount is too little or small because it is one step closer to our goal. Please help support my aunt and cousin so they can slowly get back to normal again.
