This fund has been set up to help a lovely Cochrane family who have had their lives torn apart by tragedy this past week.
Shaun Trickett called Cochrane home for the past 5 years, having emigrated from England, and leaves behind a 2.5 yr old son and wife. He was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Highway 22 in the early hours of February 13th.

It is with very great sadness that I announce the passing of my beautiful Husband Shaun. I am met with the most terrible grief and heartache as his 31 year old life was cut far too short.
On the morning of February 13th, Shaun was on his way to work when his life was compromised by a devastating motor vehicle collision causing him extensive internal injuries. He fought extremely hard in the days following to stay with us but following the arrival of his parents and brother fr...om overseas, Shaun started to show us that he was ready to go to sleep. The grief is profound, he wasn't ready to leave us and we weren't ready for him to leave us either.
In the early hours of this morning his family and Canadian family were at his bedside to kiss him goodnight and wish him sweet dreams. His lasting legacy will be through our stories, memories and our beautiful little boy, Austin.
I ask that at this difficult time, you give us the privacy to grieve and process this huge trauma that has taken a Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Grandson and Cousin, far too soon.
Obviously, I encourage you all to share your stories in order to keep his memory alive and with us every day.
A special thank you to Shaun's Mom, Dad, Stepdad, Brother and Father in Law for making their way to Canada at extremely short notice, I know for a fact that they wouldn't have it any other way. And another huge thank you to Shaun's 'Canadian Family' who watched a vigil over him with me until we said goodnight.
