In Memory Of Scottie

Scott Nielson, prominent Contractor and home builder, was born on June 18, 1970 in Phoenix, Arizona to Dean and Elizabeth Nielson. In 1988 he graduated from Columbia High School in White Salmon, Washington. After High School he served a honorable two year LDS mission to England. Right after his mission he started his building career with Slayden Construction Company. He loved to Build and to take care of those around him. In January 2016 Scott learned he had a brain tumor. Only after subsequent doctor visits had he learned that his tumor had been with him for years. Scotty courageously clung to the belief that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences. But rather, it’s a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime Plan. He whole heartedly loved his brothers and sisters and loved his children more than life itself and thought of them endlessly. He loved to joke and have fun and was always making those around him smile and laugh. In the end he missed no opportunities to tell those closest to him that he loved them. Scott was described as "Larger than life"and his hugs gave a whole new meaning to a bear hug. Ultimately he concluded that "life was precious and worth fighting for." Scott died peacefully in his sleep on February 15, 2017 in Orchards, Washington. He was 46 years old. He was preceded in death by his beautiful loving mother, Elizabeth Nielson. He is survived by his three children; Scott Jr., Ramy and Victoria, his father, Dean Nielson, and his brothers and sisters; Rex Nielson, Rhonda Grillone, Trisha Mataele, Julie Bradfield, Keith Nielson and Kent Nielson. We will forever adore him and he will always be in our hearts. We love you Scotty! We are raising money for his funeral, if sombody wants more information your are more then welcome to ask thank you.
