In Memory of Patrick O'Connor

Donation protected
On August 14th,  2018 we lost our beloved father, husband, brother, and friend, Terrence Patrick (Pat) O'Connor Jr. Pat was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia a mere four months before his passing, and while he fought the disease with his usual tenacity and good humor, he passed away peacefully in Langley Hospice last week, with his family at his side.

Those who knew Pat knew that he would do anything he could to help the people in his life. Selfless and self-deprecating, he was always quick to lend a hand or crack a joke, and our lives were all made better by having known him.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Pat made many fond memories in Stanley Park, and we would like to have a memorial bench installed at Brockton Point in his honour. It is our hope that the bench may become a place for his family and friends to gather and celebrate with the joy and laughter that defined Pat's life.

Before his passing, Pat also expressed his immense gratitude to Canadian Blood Services and the blood donors whose generosity provided us with the opportunity to explore treatment options, and ultimately, to say goodbye. Any donations exceeding the cost of the memorial bench will be provided to Canadian Blood Services, and we also encourage everyone who is eligible to donate blood to do so in Pat's memory.

Thank you, and please join us at Pat's Celebration of Life on September 8th, 2018.
