In memory of my step-father

It is a long one, so please bear with it. My story begins  on the 2nd of December 2018, when sadly my brother-in-law took his own life. We pulled together as a family in a way that made me so proud and honoured to be a part of this amazing family. 12 days later on the 14th of December 2018, my mum was staying with my sister, helping her with the day to day activities that come with raising three young children and running a home. Meanwhile my step-dad was home, working on creating their forever home, having fitted the new staircase, he then decided to go up onto the roof to finish pointing it, a job which had been bothering him as it wasn't quite right. Sadly this resulted in a tragically fatal fall. So 12 days into the grieving process...we were back to square one. As I write this, we have buried two great family men and are rebuilding our lives emotionally and mentally in (as my niece put it) in our new normal.
My mum and step dad were due to go on their second honeymoon in April, after much deliberation  my mum has decided to still take the trip, with me instead. What I would love to do is fill this trip with love, laughter, adventure and memories without any financial constraints what so ever. My aim is to do this as secretly as possible, so please only share privately, in order to surprise her when we get to the airport. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this x
