In memory of Katie Craig
Donation protected
Hi friends,
It is hard to believe that it has been almost ten years since Katie passed. I imagine many of you still think of her often and miss her giggles, fritters, and spandexual yiiips.
As you may know, shortly after Katie's death, Joe Babino built a beautiful bench out of wood. He placed it at Twinbrooks in Cumberland, overlooking the fields through which Katie spent countless days running, skiing, and laughing. I have visited that bench many times over the past ten years, and feel grateful to have a physical place in which I can feel close to Katie.
As we approach the tenth anniversary of her passing, I would like to replace Joe's bench with a more permanent granite bench.
The bench will be engraved with one of Katie's favorite quotes:
"Tell me, what is you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"- Mary Oliver and the words:
In honor and memory of Katie Craig 10/10/1986-4/5/2007.
I have set the fundraising goal for $5,000 to cover the cost of the bench and to make a donation in Katie's name to the Center for Grieving Children, an amazing non-profit organization that was of great importance in Katie's life.
Please contribute what you can and share this link with others who knew and love Katie!
