In Memory of Jason Rogers

On December 2, 2018, Canada Border Services Agency received the unfortunate news that we lost one of our fellow officers, our dear friend, and colleague. Superintendent Jason Rogers passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife Nav and their 2 children, Jaiden (son - 6 years old) and Avaani (daughter - 4 years old).
Jason was a man of character, strong convictions, a man's man, a friend to everyone, kind, soft spoken, shy, but with sharp wit and humour, and tremendously hard working. He always felt the best years of his career were working on the drug enforcement team with the CBSA. He took his work seriously but did not take himself seriously. He was playful and goofy with his children and home was where he enjoyed being the most. He was old-fashioned and simple in his style. He was traditional in nature and saw himself as the provider and protector for his family. He would always pride himself in helping others. It will truly be difficult to ever find someone to fulfill that role in our lives in his sudden absence for his friends and family. Jason has touched the hearts of many and will truly be missed.
All of our lives have been enriched by his presence, and we will keep him forever in our hearts and minds. We will make sure his children are reminded of the legacy that he left behind, and of a what a great man he truly was.
