In memory of Gavin Florez

Gavin “Ruby” Florez.  He was a 15 and a sophomore at Bellevue West High School.  He loved his family and friends deeply and his loyalty was unparalleled.  He was a fierce advocate for the equality of all people and we couldn’t be prouder of him for that. 

Gavin had an incredible intellect and creative side that manifested itself time and time again in the form of incredible Lego builds, Minecraft creations, and robotics.  He loved his family and friends and his cat, The Night King, who he called “Catbaby.”

We miss him so much and your love and support is helping us heal. 

A service will be scheduled for Tuesday, November 20th in Bellevue.  Details are forthcoming.

This fundraiser is to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Funeral arrangements are confirmed and open to the public.

Attendees are encouraged to wear a T-shirt that Gavin may have liked (Star Wars, Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Legend of Korra, Magic: the Gathering, Minecraft, Lego, anything NASA, science related, cat related, etc.)

This will be a celebration of Gavin Ruby Florez's life and loves.
