My last conversation with my nephew was February 11, 2019 at 6:32am before he went into the hospital. He’s always been a fighter and I thought for sure he would pull through as he always has. My nephew is 32 years old. He has battled Sickle Cell Anemia since he was 6 months or even earlier before we discovered it. There were numerous doctors that didn’t think he would make it past 10 years old...Oh, but God said different! He was an advocate for his disease and poured so much love into the lives of those that were battling Sickle Cell with him. He started a foundation and clothing line No Pain in the Playroom. In his 32 years he was able to live out some of his dreams and became a college graduate while going through tremendous pain all of his life. He never let the disease stop him. He was truly a fighter and he fought every step of the way until I watched him take his last breath at 9:18pm February 26, 2019. My sweet and courageous nephew’s legacy will live on forever because of his advocacy, passion and awareness to educate everyone on Sickle Cell Anemia. I love you nephew and I’m so glad I’ve made you proud and you’ve always felt the love I poured into you and the love you poured into me and everyone around you. Life will not be the same without you! Heaven has gained another angel! ♥️♥️♥️
