In Honor of John Clouse Campaign

John T. Clouse, 78, of Dale City, Virginia, passed away on August 27, 2018 after a valiant battle against cancer.

He was the loving husband of Kim Nguyen Clouse. He was born on June 24, 1940 in Silver Point, Tennessee.  He was a mechanical engineer who retired from the Army Corp of Engineers as a Warrant Officer Four.  During his long Army career, John served two tours in Vietnam earning several medals and accolades.  He then had a second civilian career as a Chief Engineer for PEPCO Government Services where he and his crew ran the Ft. Belvoir, VA electrical plant for over 20 years.

John was the devoted father of Shirley Harbin and husband Steve of Greensboro, NC and Lili Cameron and husband Rob of Fredericksburg, VA; grandfather of Kristen and husband Ricky, Amber, Kyle and Matthew; great-grandfather of Alexis, Luke, Grace and Penelope; and brother of Carl Clouse and Lynda Metlika.

He was preceded in death by his late wife of 50 golden years, Jung Ie Kim Clouse; an infant son, Kenneth Dillard Clouse; his mother, Elva Jean Clouse; and his elder sister, Sherry Mandell.  He enjoyed shooting skeet, boating and fishing, weekends at the river house, traveling with his wife, Kim, watching old western movies, and making memories with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 3, 2018 from 6-8pm at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, VA  22192.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 10:30am at Miller Funeral Home with interment ceremony to follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
