KiliClimb-Challenge Youth Fund

My Name is Anne Lorimor.  I am about to set a World Record climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro to benefit disadvantaged kids.

People say I’m crazy.  An 85 year old great-grandmother intending to climb the tallest mountain in Africa?

They’re right.  I’m crazy to see every child get the hand up they deserve while inspiring seniors and all generations to seek and experience new adventures.

The climb is scheduled for July, 2015. This site has links to follow the progress of training, documentation of the Guinness World Record, and opportunities for giving.
If you fund this project you will also have a direct impact on helping fund kids' charities to give disadvantaged children an opportunity to win at life.

I have challenged myself to meet some pretty lofty goals and I challenge followers of this adventure to give a hand up to children who need it most.  With your support, TOGETHER we can help homeless children, foster kids, orphans and disadvantaged kids through my Challenge Youth Fund.   I started this fund in 2004 to leave behind a legacy for generations of kids to have opportunities to reach their full potential and, in turn, make a difference in the world.

For this specific outreach of the KiliClimb for Kids, my Challenge Youth Fund will designate donations given over the next 6 months to a new piano lab for Rosie’s House, a music academy that provides free music instruction to more than 400 underserved children of greater Phoenix.

There are 120 kids in the piano program. For every student at Rosie’s House there are 4 more on a waiting list.  The cost of the new piano lab is $50,000.  This will enable Rosie’s House to better serve current students and allow more students the opportunity to grow through music.  By incorporating discipline, good grades and character development through their very qualified teacher and mentors, 97% of their high school graduates of 2014 went on to college.
